Hey, can i ask you something? I joined my two Airport Expresses together and now whenever i open up Airport Utility, i only see 1 base station. Should it be that way since i joined it? Because my wireless bridge isn’t working and i want to fix it! Is there a way to separate it?

Good video. I am trying to do exactly this, with an Airport Extreme as my main router and an airport express to extend the range of my wireless signal. I’ve installed the software, plugged in the airport express maybe 30 feet from my Airport Extreme but when I turn on the Airport Utility, the only thing listed is my Airport Extreme. Seems like my computer refuses to recognize the Airport Express unless I plug an ethernet cable directly to it. Do you know what is wrong? What shld I do?

Hi, helpful video, thank you very much.
For me, I have the latest 2009 Airport Extreme as my base station, and I have the older 2007 Airport Extreme. I wish to use the 07 Airport extreme to extend the range in my house. Is it possible to do this? The 07 extreme doesn’t have a wired connection to it, so it will be acting merely as a signal repeater. Would you mind telling me if this is possible? thanks very much

I believe there are some solutions to doing this. If you have a WRT54G, try searching for “Linksys Airport WDS.” It should bring a few results. Also, have a look at dd-wrt, which is an alternate firmware for linksys routers that allows them to get extra features. Hope that helps!
