Links and Networking

Hello, I’m writing a paper on social networking right now, and I’m a little stuck. I need to write about how social networking draws people closer together, and I’ve already written about communication and information/file sharing. Does anyone have any other ideas?? Thanks.

I’ve found that social networking helps to reunite people. I found so many childhood friends through pen pal websites and such, plus it’s also possible to find and communicate with family members who you’ve never met.

   It helps people keep up with old friends or people that live far away and connects old friends and long lost contacts.

   For example, I knew this girl that lives in texas and she came up to my state after hurricane ike and lived there for about 9 months. she went to my school up there and i got to know her. they she had to go back and we didn’t have cell phones back then so we basically haven’t talked until now when she friend requested me on facebook.
