Unfortunately, social media provides the perfect outlet for these schemes. I have seen marketers claim income numbers that are completely fake, use those numbers to sell more BS. If you tried that in the real world, you go to jail. But hey, I guess earning money honestly is tough these days.Seth is a rare find. He functions at a level that even above average marketers cannot discern even when they pretend to do so. Clean up your business people and stop pretending. Integrity is priceless.

Unfortunately 99.9% of online marketers are inauthentic money hungry desperate mindless system slaves who have successfully made a name for themselves by doing nothing more than being willing to tell people that they are leaders. The leadership consists of telling others to teach others to teach others to tell people that they are leaders, too. When the scam is revealed they jump on the “you should know better” train and ride it until the next scheme comes. From my view, it’s hilarious to watch.

I respect Seth a lot and I agree with all his point.

That said, “social networking” is probably a misnomer. If you consider it your personal media outlet, that’s about what you get from Twitter or YouTube. You don’t become friends with people just because they saw your advertising on TV, but it does not mean it’s useless. Cost/value ratio — yes, that’s a big topic for sure. But it’s certainly better than TV :-)

Anybody using Facebook for business is completely mislead. And MySpace. LinkedIn provides a hitlist of potentials, so it’s somewhat useful.
