Prior to Windows XP if you wanted to have a network with more than one LAN segment, then you had two options: IP routing and hardware bridging. IP routing required you to buy hardware routers or configure computers to act like routers, configure IP addressing for each computer on each network segment, and configure each network segment as a separate subnet.

    I accidentally uninstalled my mac bridge miniport from device manager, how do i get it back????
    I’ve tried everything, i restarted my computer, i searched for available updates(windows vista) And i can’t restore my computer cause it never saved my restore points i made. Any advice? i would greatly appreciate it, cause i really need a network bridge for my xbox. And since this has been deleted i can only get
    wireless connection.
