Prior to Windows XP if you wanted to have a network with more than one LAN segment, then you had two options: IP routing and hardware bridging. IP routing required you to buy hardware routers or configure computers to act like routers, configure IP addressing for each computer on each network segment, and configure each network segment as a separate subnet.

    how to get the wireless network to appear, ( i already have the pass), accessing the wireless network gives me access to the network group, like all students have.. thnx please help me =)

    hey i kinda need help, im not sure if u could help me with this but here it goes..
    my school has a network configuration system, students bring in their own laptops to school, (the IT staff configure the laptops). i tried to configure my own laptop without giving it to the staff, because if u do u need to pay, anyways i tried searching the wireless network, it doesnt appear, i remembered the IT dude went somewhere and entered the DNS server for the wireless network to appear, so if u can help me
