Today I will show you how to network Vista computers with an XP computer.

A password is required for vista.

    The vista user needs to have a password for the xp machine to see it?

    I have a vista machine that can see my xp machine but the xp machine cannot see the workgroup and therefor cant access the vista machine.

    I tried your video, including the glitch, and it made my network non-identifed and i couldnt access the internet.

    Any help? Thanks!

    I had the same problem. I had to go to my printers website to see if there was a download for vista. There was. I downloaded it and found my printer in the set up.

    Hello, I followed your intstructions I have t2 desktops and 1 laptop. It shows all of the computers on the network but I can’t accsess my laptop. says check the spelling of the name. Otherwise the network has a problem. Now on my laptop it doesn’t show any of my desktops. So confused and frustrated. Please Help!!

    Done and done, but it’s still only working one way. I have made sure the windows firewall is off and even uninstalled Norton but the network is still only working one way.

    Well you actually might have a fire wall, check the windows firewall, and any other. I just had aproblem on my network that zonealarms was blocking the network, i just had to close it to make it work. Make sure your in the same workgroup as well, either MSHOME or WORKGROUP

    What I mean is that my laptop can see my PC but my PC doesn’t see my laptop. Really annoying and I’ve done this for both my computers with neither of them running any kind of firewall.
