Prior to Windows XP if you wanted to have a network with more than one LAN segment, then you had two options: IP routing and hardware bridging. IP routing required you to buy hardware routers or configure computers to act like routers, configure IP addressing for each computer on each network segment, and configure each network segment as a separate subnet.

Aircars – Atari Jaguar

Posted on June 8th, 2010 by admin in networking hardware | No Comments »

Aircars for the Atari Jaguar is one of 2 games that supposedly has flawless networking.
The Jaguar has a network hardware bug, which usually makes the network multiplayer games crash (like Doom,) but a group of coders who were working on a game for the Jaguar (BattleSphere) figured out a way to get around the bug and have flawless networking. They incorporated that into BattleSphere and they let the makers of Aircars use it as well.
Unfortunately, Aircars isn’t as good as BattleSphere, but I’m looking forward to playing it networked anyway to see if that makes it a little more fun.

What should I do to get a Job in "Hardware and Networking" in India?

Posted on June 7th, 2010 by admin in networking hardware | 2 Comments »

I am a 3rd year B.E (IT), and I am not completing my B.E. But I want a job and my field of interest is Hardware and Networking ,so I am looking for any course or certificates which will make it happen.
I got 1 year at Maximum.
Thanks in advance.
I am glad to both Jasper and tbshmkr for their encouragement. But Guys don’t you think incomplete B.E is worthless. And in India jobs aren’t so easy…

You probably just need to apply, most doing that do not have what you have, ~

what a fresh MCA CAN expect to earn? Will a course of hardware and networking add any more skills for MCA?

Posted on May 21st, 2010 by admin in networking hardware | 2 Comments »

WHAT is the age limit recruiters demand from an MCA.MCA IS Master of computer applications. What is the name of the degree, Master of arts in computer application or Science degree?

No there is no age limit. But tou shold not have more than 2 yrs break up in studies in between graduation.Means there should not be no break up in study in betwwn 10 th to 12th and in between 12 th to graduation should not be more than 2 year.
Yes MCA is Master of Computer application. Its the Post graduation degree not the degree course you can do it after BCA .

MCA is a time bound three-year (six-semester) course, approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and conducted by almost all the Universities of India.
The selection of the students is based on a written test. The aspiring students with Bachelor’s or equivalent degree thereof with minimum of 50% to 60% (subject to notification) are eligible. (This apart, candidates appearing for Bachelor’s degree can also apply). Some Universities may also need mathematics at the graduation level. The entrance test mainly consists of Mathematics, and Logical and Analytical Reasoning. In some universities, the knowledge of Elementary English and Computer Awareness is also examined.
There are separate tests for separate Universities/Institutions across India.
There are 2 types of Entrance tests, Unified & Separate e,g. for securing admission to MCA colleges in Madhya Pradesh, there is a Unified MP Pre-MCA test. On the other hand, admission to JNU MCA is through a separate entrance test conducted by the University itself. Similarly for admission to various NITs(National Institutes of Technologies) there is a common test called NIMCET whereas IIT Roorkee, the only IIT in India to have a MCA Programme conducts its own entrance examination.

Yes if ur r doing networking then more skill added to your future u will get more oppertunity then a Normal MCA passed fresher .

ratio of practicals and networking in hardware and networking institute?

Posted on May 18th, 2010 by admin in networking hardware | 2 Comments »

pvt institue like cms , jetking focuses more on theoratical concepts rather than practicals .students learn very little from them therefore.what should be the ratio.?

i did hardware and networking course from cms last year . but they did’t tell anything practically related to hardware . they included only theoretical and linux was either not told better. so i suggest not to go for hardware course from there. find some institute that FOCUS more on practicals . do not go either for linux also . all u can opt for is msce and ccna . better choice.but u need to be graduate for the OJT.
