Are you able to use a normal D-Link or Netgear USB receiver to connect to my wireless network or does it only pick up the network if its using the Xbox 360 wireless networking adapter?

There are several ways to connect to XBL but your XBox will not take a connection through a USB port. You can plug directly into your router or modem via CAT5 line. Purchase the wireless adapter. Or you can use your laptop as a wireless adapter by sharing the network via your windows settings.

They are different layers though, so depending on what are you asking for.

1) Physical interconnection between to devices with no wires, hot topic.
2) Compression algorithms and Quality of Service. Hot topic
3). Security. Always a hot topic
4). Quality of service again, congestion control, mechanisms to avoid packet losses and network collapse. Old topic but still warm
5). You mean NAS? This is an application of several of the others. Interesting concept.
6). Always a hot topic. With wireless ad-hoc networks, even more. Routing has been always an interesting problem, and tons of people work on developing a good strategy to route across wireless only environments (ad-hoc)
7). Exploiting the high bandwidth capabilities of FO is certainly a hot topic. Higher speeds are important for big backbone networks for internet. Perhaps not a niche market for consumer products yet. Still very important.

I’ve attended ITT, and I must say I didn’t get what I paid for. However I want to continue my education in receiving my Bachelor degree. Do anyone know of any good colleges for learning computer networking which is dealing with routers, switches, protocols, and Cisco configurations.

You’re not receiving a real Bachelor’s degree at ITT. You’re paying big money for a worthless "pretend" Bachelor’s. Prospective employers will throw your job applications directly into the garbage as soon as they spot the ITT listing.

If you want to save your dignity, you will leave ITT, and attend a TAC/ABET- or ATMAE-accredited school for a real degree in Computer Technology.

You don’t say where you live, so it’s not possible to advise on a good college.

Well I want to start my own business, that is focused on setting up networks and building computers and servicing them. I am A+ Certified and MSCE and MSCA certified. I have worked for Dell in computers sales with business to business for awhile and have sales experience with Cold Calling. But what should I do to setup my own business any recommendations?

Hey, great question. Since you have sales exp you already know that it’s as hard / harder to get a customer than to provide the tech services they need. The critical difference between low pay /long hours vs the entrepreneurial dream is having an effective, reliable, repeatable customer acquisition strategy… aka "marketing"

General advice:
– think "niche specialty" not "broad generalist"
– identify a need where you have or can quickly develop a skillset / knowledgebase.
– seek out customers who can justify (ROI) paying higher rates… example HW break fix doesn’t pay too well, but SAP app implementation pays pretty good.

– structure around "recurring, automatic revenue" vs " one time projects" or "as needed services"

Resources: I’ve been in IT for many years, as a reseller and now consultant. Best "in a can" resource I’ve seen is Robin Robins. Link below. No, I don’t get any commission or anything, I just recommend what I know to be good stuff.

I need to write a 3000 word (approx) term paper on the dangers of social networking sites. How can I start, find references, and find things to discuss.

What grade are you in? first off if you dont get one, i would maybe you can do an expirment get maybe a myspace and put an example in your essay and say well i dont know but maybe a guy asked to meet up with or or something and you can say "As a test I made up a myspace and one guy, asked to meet with me in person" then give a statistic about how many people get killed or something after they meet up with someone online. Or if you wanted you could make one and invite random people you dont know to be your friend, first you can say "i was friends with (fill in with amount of people you became friends with) and didnt know any of them. I could see personal information about them, some even agreed to meet me in person" and then give another relative statistic, make sure they know it was an expirment. In another Paragraph just list and explain some dangers, kidnapping, rape, murder, person info, ect..

You can’t get a code for that.
The code that makes the text bold is somewhere inside you layout code, just look for it and delete it.
It should look something like this;

(replace BOLD with NORMAL)
